17lb seems a bit heavy, i was thinking a light flywheel might increase the low-end torque...... maybe 9-11 lbs... what do u think?

A lighter flywheel will not increase the torque. It will allow the engine to rev up faster and therefore make for quicker acceleration either in a straight line or coming out of a corner.

A very light flywheel can adversely effect day to day drive ability.

I have an aluminum flywheel and a Quartermaster clutch on PKT RKT. Did not do any back to back just for the change so I can't say it helped in the speed department. I can pretty much tell you driveability has been affected a tad but me thinks it has more to do with the monster clutch than with the flywheel.....

Seriously, the car is quicker off the line and getting up to speed. By how much? Dunno.
