Are you tied to a dealer?

As far as I can gather from reading the books that came with my Cooper, servicing, warrenty work, etc. can be carried out by any authorised MINI dealer (including the ones in Europe, if I understand correctly).

Don't have my books to hand at the minute to check the exact working, but I'm pretty sure that's what it said!

Im sure you can take it to any MINI dealer you wish, I cant see there be any problems with another dealer

very handy as my local service place is 2 mins from home

I'm getting mine from Scotthall which is on the southern outskirts of Cambridge.
I'm hanging fire on any recommendations 'til I actually get confirmation on where my blessed car is ?!
They have been OK so far, but fallen at the last....can they redeem themselves ??
