$20 - $30 per hour - Costa Mesa, California, USA
If your a car enthusiast and have a passion for either or Classic Mini’s or Land Rover Defenders then this is the perfect job for you!
You’ll be an influential part of the team working on world class automotive projects and building a piece of history. You’ll be working on a range of European cars with exciting projects that any car enthusiast would be excited to work on! This isn’t your “normal” automotive technician job! You’ll be building the first of some very special cars.
A knowledge of classic Mini’s and or Land Rover Defender’s would be preferred but not essential
The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, take pride in their work , be proactive, have an eye for detail and strive for the best quality and craftsmanship. You’ll be able to manage your own time and meet deadlines. The candidate must have at least one year of automotive repair experience. It’s preferred if the candidate has it’s own tools, but not essential…
Automotive Technician Responsibilities:
Must have strong diagnosis, repair and maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
Must have excellent troubleshooting skills in hydraulic systems, electrical systems, drivetrain and suspension systems.
Electrical experience.
Experience with transaxle repair.
Experience with internal engine repair and setup.
Be able to complete full re-builds of vehicles.
Must have a strong understanding of fuel injection systems and controls
Complete Multi-Point inspections and recommendations.
Maintain high quality repairs.
Must be able to interact with clients on difficult diagnosis.
Must keep a clean appearance and keep a clean work area.
Must have strong work ethic and reliability.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Have detailed record keeping and reporting skills.
Road test vehicles when required.
Available to work full time, and willing to work overtime when necessary
Must have basic computer and internet skills
Automotive Technician Requirements:
Classic Mini knowledge/experience a plus.
Land Rover Defender knowledge/experience a plus.
Early Porsche knowledge/experience a plus.
ASE certification a plus.
Experience with Motec products a plus.
Follow oral and written instructions with attention to details.
Must have a valid California drivers license with clean driving record.
Willingness to learn innovative automotive technologies.
A understanding of CNC machining or 3D printing a plus.
