Auxiliary AC Pre setting

Really getting frustrated with trying to set up pre departure heating on my new Countryman Phev. There seem to be 2 ways you can end up at the set up menu and I'm not sure why. I input the times and days although these seem to take a while to populate. The fan timer symbol comes up but the problem is I only want it on certain days of the week yet even though I've selected these, it still comes on every day. When I then do back into the menu, it shows no days or times are set! Any ideas please, the handbook isn't much use as it send you off in different directions for instructions which aren't clear. Help please as now starting to get frosty mornings but I don't want to heat it unnecessarily the 4 mornings it's not required.
