Battery on the way out? 2007 Mini One, Start/Stop and IBS.

The engine management lamp came on and an orange (or yellow) battery symbol illuminated on the rev counter of my sons Mini One whilst driving.
Checked the battery volts prior to starting the car and it was 11.98v and the battery symbol had illuminated again. When the engine was running it was 14.7v confirming the alternator was ok.
When we got home I checked the fault codes, P0420 Cat efficiency below threshold and another code starting with 2 but my diagnostics thingy wouldn't tell me what the code was unless I paid for a monthly subscription. I suspect this is a manufacturer specific fault, I reset the faults.
I suspect the battery is on its way out but I'm concerned there could be an issue with the IBS sensor. I did find some fault codes relating to IBS sensors and they started with 2.
It seems a bit odd to get two faults simultaneously, could the P0420 fault be a red herring and the additional fault code be a consequence of a low charge on the battery and is it more likely to be the battery than the IBS sensor? The Start/Stop hasn't worked for a while either, this also appears to indicate a battery issue.

Thanks in advance of any replies ?

I'm not sure. No record of it being changed in the vehicle service record or invoices. I'm going to check the battery for a date today.

below link best diagnostics for money
p0420 timing chain needs checking might be a 02 sensor if car burns oil then cat might be oiled up with residue. might even be a 02 sensor issue where both read the same voltage would say cat has hole in it or if both read miles a part its blocked , the question would be why is it blocked etc , ie must fix the fault and not just the outcome
and yes your battery looks to be nailed a fully charged battery 12,8v under 12,2v standing voltage its dead
Week 34/2007. Original mini Varta battery. Done ok for 12 years old. Think it's due for retirement.
If the battery is replaced like for like, i.e., AGM, 70AH, CCA 760 does it need be registered with the car?

yep its does as the system learns what power the system uses and how as such so a old dead battery will be miles off to what a new one will work at,, ie the smart charge ,,,, ironically i think that's a bmw think not so smart charge lol, that said they are all at it.
