BBR MCS vs Works

I have MCSC on order, and am planning a few tweaks. In addition to the Works 210 I am looking at the BBR 220 stage 1.

Has anyone had this BBR conversion, and is the phase 2 conversion comparison with the old 197 works pack accurate (see http://www.bbrgti.com/works.php)

I have spoken to the guys at BBR, and they seem like experienced chaps, but have yet to confirm details of either their warranty or insurance tie ups. This will be my 3rd Mini, and I am no stranger to my local dealership as my first car kept breaking (little things like steering, gearbox etc), hence reliability and warranty are issues to me

Any thoughts on BBR or suggestions of alternatives? :)

Max has got the GGR conversion. I was also looking to have a conversion done on MCS, but having driven into the back of a 4x4 I've had to put it on hold for a while.

Paul Mullet, Bonnie Scotland, Julz and supercoopers have had the BBR conversion and speak of it very highly.

I have visited BBR, West Tuning and GT Tuning and I decided on GT Tuning. At the end of the day its personal preference:

As for insurance, you'll have to declare it otherwise if you have an accident your insurance is void. Like the JCW conversion it is classed as a modification and your insurance firm may not insure you. This leaves you with the specialist firms like greenlight and Adrian Flux.

A big choice

Dude,

I'm in the same boat as you (nearly). I am trying to decide between a JCW210 or BBR 225 at the moment - BBR gives a bigger return for your buck but the JCW gives piece of mind, all be it at a price.

As I need my car to start and get fixed quick if it doesn't, I guess I'll be going for the JCW, but secretely I'll be hankering after that extra grunt from BBR.

As Rakey says - you pays your money...............

 Enjoy Rakey/Steve whatever route you go, the 210 upgrade is very nice - the noise really encourages you to rev the **** of out if - one pleasant side effect is you seem to get to places a lot quicker ;)
