Hi All,

I’ve recently purchased a 13 plate Cooper S Roadster, if I turn the DRLs on in the lower liights the dipped beam on the Xenons also comes on. It’s a Chilli pack car if that makes any difference. No Sat Nav screen again in case that makes a difference.

Anyone know firstly how I can make it so it’s just the DRLs that are on and secondly if there is recommendation for the yellowish DRL bulbs? They look awful along with the Xenons.

Surely if they are drl’s you shouldn’t have to turn them on? They should come on when the car is started, even with the lights turned off.

In my car 58 plate if you have the DRL's turned on and autolights on the headlights (xenon) are on all the time.

Yeh that's what mine does, surely that's not right, DRLs should surely be on without the headlights!!

Can you alter it through the SET/INFO menu using the button on the end of the indicator stalk???

I can either turn DRLs either on or off with DRLs off then headlights go off so I'm hoping they will come on when on auto if it gets dark, although not tested it. With DRLs on headlights also on!!

You said “if I turn the DRLs on”, how are you turning them on?

when I start my mini the DRLs come on automatically, they then go off when I turn the side lights on, they stay off when I turn the dipped beams on.

Software apps will allow you to set it how you like.

I’m turning the DRLS on in the key profiles on the computer, then having lights on Auto. Not sure if that’s the right way to set the lights or not?

What software Apps do people use?
