i've used and known john at black magic tuning for a long time now i always send my map work or ecu problems ie he can repair or clone them can also do stand alone maps ie get bigger injectors to work and all kinds of stuff that a normal garage wont even know where to start, also can do dpf deletes and egr delete and maps to suit the driver ie i like early boost early power for best mpg and low revs, or someone else might want all at the top end or 50/50 etc so all his maps done from his mobile service or at the workshops are bespoke to that driver and car, he also tales bookings for mobile service all over the country and when gets a days work in that area the van gets sent there, or can have a generic map done by posting the ecu to him he maps it with a mid range map sends it back,, i always take my car in and we go through my cars together, just asked him to give a forum price for this, 2006-march 2010 cooper d with the psa diesel, to remove dpf filter. remove egr. remap to bespoke setting with the owner at his workshop £270,, i have had two of mine done in the past same way and they just become more like a cooper s that still does over 70mpg when driven low revs, that will give cooper s power . also dpf delete makes oil stay clean engine lasts linger

Facebook, as the one on the link just links to Facebook.

he's on there as well and most of the vw audi forums and t4 and t5 forums as well i drop the below link as its just easier for people to contact them, they also do repairs and specialise in vag group stuff and t4 t5 stuff that said they do what ever comes in the door so its not just remaps which is better as he will check what ever he is mapping before mapping it, where a lot of mappers dont they just load the software, the down side to that is if a car has a fault with say a injector and then add power to it it will melt things very fast, or if timing is out its really bad. so technically you say you also get a car check up before its mapped as part of the service,
he's got a mercedes e63 AMG v8 twin turbo that has been mapped its more than fast

Spoke to him this morning sounded very knowledgeable.
Hopefully he can get to the bottom of it.
The egr delete etc sounds very interesting.
honestly both my old clubmans were done dpf and egr delete and a 50/50 map its ofts out all the lag and still feels fast and i mean it really did feel fast when done and a slug when standard, we used both of them motorway and local stuff at 70mph cruise on was getting over 70mpg at 50 around 80mpg with local still getting high 60s, the psa engines are 108bhp standard and a bit laggy after at that done its 160bhp ish with next to no lag, and ironically at mot time they both went through the exhaust gas machine lower than they did with the dpf and egr intact,, mainly because the dpf filter at 75k is worn out really at 35k it spends more time trying to clean its self than anything else, so when removed it dont do all that wasted fuel and it also burns every last bit of energy from the fuel as well, so much better, i think the government is so tied up with brexit it's going to take many years before they really attack diesels much more, as face it 60% of cars on the road are diesels thats a lot of voters that would feel attacked by them maybe, also most mot bays no the score
trust me stu its night and day is the difference, cooper s go for diesel fuel costs , also the engine oil stays clean no carbon build up

i've bought sold a lot of deleted cars over the years never had a issue with mot or in fact any issues after that point, my last mini clubman was on a 59 reg it was done as well in fact the new owner sent me a message about 6 months after buying he mot'd the car it went straight through and thanked me for the car being totally as i said it was including the sorted dpf and egr nudge nudge wink wink lol, think his garage has told him what that meant and was happy that it was saving him a big bag of cash every 45k for additive and 75k for the filter and all the added damage it causes, ford use same engines on c-max with no dpf on early ones and those will easy do 200k with good oil changes with no problems.
