maybe about 5 - 7 bhp over stock on a mcs. you wont notice it instantly though as the mini has one of these on board computers that adapts over time. they reckon about 50 miles usually does it.

is it likely to give more low to midrange power ?
I had one in my last MCS,took it out when I sold it and havent put it back in the new one yet....to be honest on the old car (10 months old when I sold it ) it wasnt particularly noticable, gave a nice exhaust/engine sound but the overall performance effect is at best marginal.

The new MCS feels much more responsive ,I think its got about 7bhp increase on the old one, however I put the "feeling" of beater resonse down to thats the way it works out sometimes ....some feel better than others !..........Monday morning build etc etc ....

Is it worth it ....yes anything which helps the engine "breath" more easily is good.....buy the least expensive cone filter you can to replace the flat bed that is stock, and see if you can tell the difference .
