Just another quick one-how easy/hard is it to change the brake pads/discs all round? Was going to attempt it on my old car before someone decided to write it off for me!

Its a complete piece of cake buddy, you'll need a wind back tool for the rear callipers, failing that bull nose pliers can be used to turn the piston back in if its not too tight.

Had 2 brake jobs on this week, one being the wifes car lol

p.s if the torx screw is tight on the brake disk then don't force it as it will sheer off. Work it back and forward and spray plenty of penetrating oil into the threads and it will come out eventually. Torx size is a T50 and its best to have an assistant press the brake pedal while undong the front torx screw on the disks to prevent the disk from turning ::wink::

All the cars are the same buddy, Kurt will just call some parts by different names but the process is identical. Its basic maintenance ;)

Any preference of brakes to go for? Looking on euro car site and there are eicher which I assume are budget, Pagid, Bosch, Brembo and Textar which are the more expensive. Are any of these recommended by BMW or is it best to go to BMW parts counter at a higher cost no doubt?

I use Delphi for brake pads and disks as well as suspension components as this is what mini use but with their branding on it.
