Evening all, so my r52 Cooper S seems to be running fine, temp gauge is normal but the rear of the engine bay seems very very hot with a burning smell. Any ideas ?

Nope everything seems to be as it should be. I’m used to driving an auto so wondering if its the clutch?

Check the CV axle boots, I had a torn boot that threw grease on the Exhaust pipes, I just replaced them. I would also check power steering hoses for seepage. If you’re not a DIY guy go to a shop for diagnosing the issue. Good luck!
