Can't offer any great advise as from the UK but do you have any 'Guide books' for second hand prices in the US? They are good for getting a general idea but at the end of the day it's down to your haggling skills, how much margin the dealer has built into the price and whether he's reached his (or her) sales quota for the month. One tip is to try and buy in the last week of the month as if they haven't hit their target they may be under more pressure to sell!
Otherwise have a look around other dealers to see how much they have MCS' up for to get an idea of how this one compares pricewise.
