Hi all.just after a bit of advice and to be pointed in right direction......
i have fault P00015 and BMW have advised its the camshaft sensor but rather than pay them anymore money I have a new sensor and will replace myself......question is which one?
looking at engine is it the front right sensor or the rear one that throws up this code?
beleive the rear is exhaust and the front inlet?

any help appreciated, Thanks

Thanks....so any idea which cause the p00015 fault thanks
maybe sensor.
maybe the others below
timing chain stretched, very common north of 60k
cam shaft oil control ring for the vanos sprocket fairly common,
vanos sprocket fault not very common under 120k
timing chain tensioner common north of 60k
vanos oil control solonoid
low oil pressure,
all engines these days are so complicated and juts because have a code it dont mean its that sensor its normal for bi-product of mechanical wear more times than not ,, and the prince engines all need timing chains at 60k if want to keep healthy, if dont end up with all kinds of other issues like cat and 02 sensors and over heated engines killing piston rings and stem seals and cracked valves from heat build up. nearly all the ones o have seen with that code needs a chain doing ie at the beginning of the process that ends up in bent valves if ignored,, if nothing else you should get it checked before throwing parts at it,, bmw workshops seem to avoid the timing chain it would appear, makes we wonder if management and told them not to admit to any issue i guess ,, they have a habit of doing that with most things
