I've got 2004 Mini (Bought in Sept) and i can't find the CD changer wining harnesses as described in various threads. Did they remove that feature in Canadian cars? Am i an idiot? (both valid questions). I'm looking at getting an XM satellite receiver possible using the Blitzsafe kit and the XM direct box from some American mail order place. Any thoughts or other suggestions. I already have the Aux kit installed.

From vague memory, for UK cars anyway, the CD Changer wiring was a no-cost option at one stage, but it had to be specified. Most good dealers specified it as a matter of course. There is the possibility that it may be a cost option now.

I found mine but it took some looking...I've a 2004 MC bought in dec 04....US.....right hand panel in boot...the plugs are taped very tightly around some other wiring harnesses/cables so at first glance it may look like just a wiring harness, but look closely and, hopefully, you'll see the 2 plugs wrapped against the thicker wires

My March '04 build Cooper Classic does not appear to have the wiring harness for a CD Changer or XM radio module. I have checked both side access panels and under the mat in the boot and found nothing.
At a recent service primarily for the emissions recall the Service Manager looked briefly and more or less shrugged it off with a "some of them don't come with it" comment.
I was hoping to at least have the option of the plug'n'play XM module if/when the Canadian satellite service is offerred.
