Hi can anyone help. My mini cooper r52 2006 remote Central locking has just stopped working. I've had the car about 6 months and everything worked fine. Couple of days ago the key fob buttons wouldn't open or lock the doors but using the key manually in the lock unlocked all the doors and boot. The toggle switch in the car and the automatic locking after driving a few mins still works. Strangely today I did unlock the door using the fob button but the lights don't flash now and I still have to lock the doors manually. Ive opened the fob and it has a rechargeable battery so I've offered another and will solder it in when it arrives.

More weirdness from my Central locking. If I click the lock button immediately after closing the door it locks all doors and ithe ndicators even flash, if I press open button immediately after the locking button the doors unlock and indicators flash as normal. This is the only way I can get the central locking to work correctly. I'll be changing the fob battery soon.

The key sync worked as it was supposed to but didn't fix the issue.
