Cheapest insurance on an S WORKS?????

Possibly swapping my S for an S Works, am currently with Direct Line but not particlary happy with them at the moment as they seem to want to invalidate insurance policy if your wearing differnt coloured underpants , Works would have aero kit, Works seats etc on it, so would I have to declare these and the premium be even higher due to the extras???

Would be interested to know what insurance co's current Works owners are using and what sort of prices they are paying and what they had to tell there ins co's as regards to the extras they have.

Cheers

Am with DirectLine myself ... don't have a Works (would have loved one but couldn't justify the extra expenditure) but I know DirectLine have a 'Cooper S Works' selection on the website - wouldn't that cover it? In which case you wouldnt have to declare anything extra as it'd be covered by that. Am I wrong?
After lots of ringing around I went with Liverpool Victoria. It was the cheapest quote.

Yeah know what you mean have seen the ' Cooper S Works' selection, but would like to know what i have to tell them, if I were to take an online quote, like any other car would I be paid out for for a standard S Works or all the extras ive got on it factory specced?

Could they turn around and say your not covered for these in the event of an accident/claim, or would they say I should have told them??? but charged me extra

Its very unclear without phoning up and asking, and then it depends who you speak to.

I.E If I went and bought a bog standard Mini One with no extras and I also bought a mini One with every concievable extra would a premium be higher?? (I dont see why it should be) or would they take one look at the car and pay for all the extras that are factory fitted etc, where do they draw the line metalic paint??

I'm with Liverpool Victoria as well, by far the cheapest for me and insure trackday use. Try Adrian flux too. Been a few threads on this:

I'm with Adrian Flux and would recommend them.... yes you have to mention all mods - body kit, suspension, brakes etc. Better to be safe than sorry - not mentioning can void your insurance. :) It will push the premium up but not by too much... I believe some ins companies even charge you more for numbers, designs on cars because it makes them more attractive to thieves :(
