Thanks to Neo!

Just a public thanks to Neo for sorting out my clear lenses for me, and calling TNT on your day off!

They are here, I have fitted them (except the third brake light as I didn't have time during lunch) and it was easy!

What a guy :)
No doubt you'll be doing an idiot's way to fitting them with photos shortly :D :D :D :D :D
Too late for photos, but I can take photos of the back of the old light units to people have an idea of what they are feeling for.

I will write some instructions but it really isn't that hard. Takes 10 - 15 mins.
monsta -great news so its that easy then?
cause my dealer wants to charge me a fortune for doing it
How much was it for the lights?
Don't suppose you could give us the part numbers could ya?
I have to agree with monsta, the lights are so simple to change. I used to have clear lenses on my one, but decided yellow wasn't the right colour with clear lenses.

All you need to do is open the cover of the sides of the boot, unclip the clips (may need to tighten the lights a little first, which makes it easier), then undo the nut. They then pop out. Fitting is the reverse.

:D :D

I reckon they take 20 mins max to fit. If you want to bring it down to Ashford I'll do it for you and you can give me a tenner!

This is the bold you need to undo:

This is the rear of the light unit

This is how they look!

:D

Part numbers:
63 12 0 140 693 (rear set - 3 piece)
63 12 0 141 252 (side repeaters - 2 piece)

Well Monsta they look the biz mate.

But did I hear you right,if I bring mine down to ashford for you to fit them on for me you'll give me a tenner{but which of the 3 tenners would you give me as I dont think I would get any one of them in the MINI}:D :D :D
I've got a question. When lit, does red light appear because a red-coated bulb is used, or is there a red lens buried underneath all the white plasic?

They're funny coloured bulbs, but they manage to light up red etc..

Thanks for going to the trouble to show them lit up. :)
the clear ones that i have seen appear blue?
but yours do not
is that a different bulb then or am i just colour blind?

Great piccis btw, couldnt ask for more detail
thanks a lot
The bulbs are quite funny looking, but when they are in the units they look blue.

Sometimes they show, sometimes they don't.
btw - notice that Mini2.com on the back
is that a sticker from Paul or did u do it yourself?
I had them done myself...
has anyone got any pic's of a black/white cooper with white rear clusters?
MINI 2 sticker

I want a mini2.com sticker (very small one) on my car somewhere. I am getting www.hamann-motorsport.de (again v.small) on the rear end of my hamann skirts.

I did market research the other day on the mini.co.uk website, i put plenty of good words in for MINI2!!

i need that sticker.

later.
