Hello!
I own a '13 Cooper 6spd and it's awesome.
A family friend offered to give me, for free, their '03 with the automatic transmission, 60k miles on odo. He says the car drives fine but if you come to a stoplight in drive, the car won't move again. If you come to a stop in neutral, and then shift to drive, it will go.

Is this something worth picking up? Or should I skip the headache?
Also I'm not sure if it's a CVT actually. May just be a regular auto...

Thanks!

If it's a 2003 it would be a CVT and if it's already having problems I would avoid it. The CVT's were very difficult to repair with the normal solution to serious problems being a full and very expensive replacement.
