Hi we are looking to get a mini convertible just for the schools runs etc not as the main family car.

We have a 4 year old am I right they should be fine in the front with the air bag off?

Can you fit a single stroller in the boot?

Will a 2 year old have enough room in a car set in the rear?

Any advice would be great.

Thank you

We waited until our girls were 11 until getting a Mini convertible, it's still tight but I would thought it really difficult to get a two year old in a forward facing seat unless you are about the same size and can have the seat right forward. Would be awkward reaching in to the back to get the belts done up as well, we tend to drop all the windows to make it easier to get in and out of . A stroller would be awkward as well as the boot is really tight, although ours does have a CD changer in there.

I think the best test though is to go along and try one out, we did that when buying our cars when the kids were small. If you are still after a cabrio, then a Beetle is easier to get into with the higher roof, although the boot opening again is tight.
