Hey there ,
cant say I have this with the vents on my 04 cooper s..... a lot of rattle from the dash yes, hissing and air blowing through? no...they do make noise low level hisses and whine from the supercharger but thats about it.
As for problems with changing gears??...... I hate to say it( and i know you probably loved the way it drove ).... walk away pal..... go and find a good'n even if you have to pay a little more. You'll save yourself some long term headache and wallet pain.
