Cooper S Roadster amplifier

Can anyone tell me where to find the amplifier in a Cooper S Roadster? Pretty sure it is a HK. The ICE is Mini Boost. For a few years the amplifier has made a loud noise but very intermittently, maybe 3 times a year and always in cold and frosty weather. Today there was a gentle pop and it's off for good now. Probably the fuse, but it's time to get the amp sorted/replaced.

I think it is under the front left seat. If you undo the seat bolts you should be able to tip the seat back enough for access.

OK, thanks for that. When I checked under the seat all I can see is carpet. Do I need to lift the carpet to find it?
No the instructions and illustrations show no carpet just a cover held by four screws. You definitely have tweeters from and rear? Try BMWVIN for options list.
OK looked at BMWVIN. The ICE option is just Mini Boost CD, DAB radio and Bluetooth. Does that mean there's no separate amplifier? Could be why I can't find one!

I can see 6 speakers. Layout is two in each door and an elliptical bass speaker on each side on the partition behind the seats. It's 2 seater so nothing else like tweeters in back.
BTW according to BMWVIN it's an R59.
Ok so then you have Mini Boost but not HK. The amplifier is built into the head unit.

Thanks mate got there in the end. Gotta be a problem in the head unit then. That should make sorting it out simpler I guess.
