Hello all, I'm new to the site and enjoy it quite a bit.
I'm very serious about getting a Cooper S when they come available, but my local dealer is trying to disaude me on the basis that I won't be able to take delivery for at least a year. They say if I sign up today there are 55 people ahead of me in line for an 'S'. So, I was wondering if this is about the normal number of people on the waiting list at dealerships? Additionally, is there an estimate of the number of 'S' cars that will be exported to the states for '02?
Also, has anyone here seen the February issue of Car and Driver? Supposedly there is a very favorable article on the Cooper.
Thanks!
