Indeed expensive!

The plastic name badge holder I normally use costs about 14 GBP for a box of 50 excluding VAT, on top of that, I would need to buy blank business cards to print the names (username and real name), then manually assemble them, and string them up on strings to prevent them from tangling.

Hence I was stressed the night before a big run that I helped to organise, as making these take a lot of time and effort!

The plastic holders are reusable, and peeps have been very good in returning them, and thank you to those who had helped to collect them for me in the past :) However, I still loose quite a few, and I hate to think how much I have spent on name badges in the last 3 years :rolleyes:

I have a BIG box of these, some still with inserts in them, if anyone fancy borrowing them :) And no, I do not expect the same amount to be returned :p

Help please!

I can't find the start and finish points in the first post, so I guess that information is in the thread somewhere.

Please could someone let me know where the run will start and finish, with post codes if at all possible?

Ideally, we would like to stay at the location where the Sat evening party will be held so that both of us can drink! :D

The official starting point will be somewhere easily locatable, and gathering friendly, between St Austell, Bodmin, and Lostwithiel.......that kind of area.....the exact location yet to be confirmed.

The end, will be in the Truro area.........and the evening out....will be within Truro.

Truro will be the obvious place to stay over. On the morning of the run, Wylie and I have discussed posting pre-meet RV points, where those staying in Truro/coming up from down West can meet, and travel to the start together.....hope this is making sense :confused:

With that in mind........might I suggest using Truro accommodation, post codes begin TR1 :D

As for accommodation in Truro, John mentioned a potential group booking, is that out of the window now, and that we need to book accommodation ourselves?

No issue with booking hotels, just need to know before I duplicate the effort, that's all :)

I think Max only wants to stay one night Sat night, then start to head back towards civilisation on Sunday :D

I still hold a hotel booking for Fowey for Sun night which I made back in Nov 2005, in the hope that we would stay there after our visit to the Eden Project :)

I have made enquiries with B&B and Guest Houses too, only for Sat night though, all in TR1, no reply yet :)

Sorry for hassling you re: accommodation - I like to plan things in advance, that's all :)

most places of accomodation are away this time of year as it's the only time they get a holiday thats probably why they haven't replied.... the two nights i was thinking of for most people would be the friday and saturday..... honestly dora we're not as unorganised doing this as it first appears(ish) :D
Our plan so far, is for me to drive down to Max's for the night, then take one or both cars to the starting point the next morning, stay Sat night in Truro, off to Eden Project on Sun, then either stay at Fowey for the night, or drive back to Max's.

Hey, I had been on some chaotic/disorganised runs, and this is nowhere near it, not yet :p :D :p

If Max and I can have a double smoking (pipes only) room with en-suite facility, then yes please :D

BTW, the smoking bit is desired but not a neccessity for the old goat :D
