Just posted my flat tyre thread (moved from General to Faults'n'Fixes)....

Nailed my o/s rear yesterday at 1600HRS... BMW still haven't quoted for it... Hi Q ordered one in for next day...

National Tyres claim they can't get hold of them...

Hi Q bill:
Pirelli P3000 175/65R15 TR - GBP 55.00
Valve - GBP 02.70
Wheel Balancing off car - GBP 04.75 [ 10g only :) ]
Casing disposal Charge - GBP 01.00
Puncture Insurace - GBP 01.50

=============================
Total for 1xP3000: GBP 64.95
=============================

Puncture insurance @ Hi Q:
"Puncture insurance covers free puncture repairs to the above tyres on production of this receipt....."

Hi Q are also doing some sort of scratch'n'sniff lottery prize thing at present when you buy a tyre.
I've used the Kingston branch since Hi-Q got the best score in sthg. like the Which? reports on quick-fit tyre/service centres....

Was chatting to the staff there...The guy there said that Pirelli,Goodyear,Michelin are pretty much the same... If you want more grip, go for Yokohamas, but expect them to wear out at a frightening rate!
They're knowledgable, friendly, efficient and professional - and most of all, didn't knacker my rims :)
