Could anybody tell me how I can cure this problem with my Mini

could be a boost pipe leaking, smoke test the system a must do job to rule it out first, then could be egr valve faulty, could even be a turbo fault but normally that flags a under boost or over boost code, what year diesel is it

2012 i’ve had a new EGR valve fitted and the new engine coolant fitted it’s an intermittent fault it’s not doing it all the time but I’m just trying to find out what the problem is

How do you smoke test and what do I look for
