Car has been doing this for quite a while now but thought nothing of it but now I've started to wonder...When the engine is started (I think it only does it from cold), there is quite a loud crackling noise coming from the tubing in the top left hand corner of the valve cover (same location as the crankcase breather hose, but the other side of the engine). I'm not sure what travels through this tube, its like a non-flexible black tube which travels underneath the injectors. To begin with I thought the noise was the far left spark plug but turns out to be this duct. Does anyone know what this is, I know that on the Cooper S it is where the oil catch can is connected to for the intercooler but what is its purpose on a One/Cooper. Thanks
