Hi thanks for allowing me to join when I turn off engine on my 2002 mini one and remove key all lights and gauges stay lit any ideas ??

Are you still able to turn on other 'ignition on' only circuits such as headlamps? If so I would suspect a faulty ignition switch. Another distinct possibility is the body control module below the RH a pillar.

I would try disconnecting the ignition switch connector first and seeing if the dash lights go out. If they do the ignition switch is most likely to blame.
