Hi, as a few of you know i pick my cooper up on wednesday.
its red with white wheels and the grill and front rubbing strips are chrome, i was just wondering has anyone changed the colour of the front end or done any de-chroming.
would i have to buy new items or would a bodyshop do the work as i want it all done in black.
i do like the chrome but just thought black would look realy different.
just a thought, oppinions welcomed.

thinking of a similar trick.

You could look into plastdip. Plastidip.co.uk. Go for the aerosol version.
I've seen others that have used it on their headlight trims but haven't built up enough courage yet to try it on my chrome grille!

Post back on here if you find anything out...

I have the standard grill, the slats, that have the chrome surrounding. My car in indigo blue i want to get it resprayed so it looks more like the gp grille. All body colour.

Does anyone have any experience of spraying how close will an independant place get with a colour match?

I would rattle can it in black if it was possible to create a good enough surface over the chrome, but im not sure you can actualy rub down chrome to create a grippy surface for the spray to stick to.
