...the doccy on Discovery Channel on Sunday evening on the development of the BMW 6-series? Some footage they showed, where they do the testing in South Africa - well that is in my home town - George. I see test vehicles here on a regular basis. Saw the test vehicles of the new Z4, 5-series, 7-series, MINI Convertible, RR Phantom - and now the latest one is the 3-series BMW. So hopefully soon I'll see the new MINI -will try and get some 'spy shots' if possible at all - they do guard those cars very well!

Anyone Replaced New Brake Pads AND Rotors?

:silver: Hi there -- totally new to the board, so let's see how this works out! I recently took my MINI Cooper (03) into the dealership, where I was told that with every change of the brake pads, the rotors have to be changed for ALL four wheels. Is this actually so? My brakes are making no noises, thus far, and I can't seem to find a handling difference. Has anyone else gone through this? I'm at 40K right now, and the brake job is 1K!

Took these spy shots this morning on my way to a client, and thought I’d share it with you guys. As said previously in this thread, BMW test their vehicles in this part of the world, and I see a lot of them from time to time.

Photo 1:
a) New 3-series Touring;
b) New 3-series;
c) Not sure about this vehicle – could be the new 3-series convertible/coupe – heavily disguised.

Photo 2:
a) New 3-series;
b) This one I’m not sure about, it appeared like a reworked 5-series.

Photo 3:
a) New 3-series;
b) Again, the care I think is the new 3-series convertible/couple;
c) The mystery BMW, reworked 5-series – looks like one from the front. Almost disguised to give the impression of the new A6 Audi if you look at it quickly.

I also saw a Z4 with M3 style rims on it – possibly a M4 on the way. I will keeps my eyes peeled and look out for the 2007 MINI test vehicles.

Paul, I hope you don’t mind me placing these photos in the general thread.
