Different sized tyres
I wonder if some of the more technical (read: nerdy ) could help me.
My Zafira runs on 195/65/15 tyres and I've been offered a brand new set of Vauxhall alloy wheels and tyres which are 205/50/16 by a friend who has bought a new car but is upgrading to larger wheels.
As I understand it, the correct size if I increase wheel size would be 205/55/16. So would the different size make too much difference to the speedo reading? I could happily live with it if it's not too much of a difference.

Speedo will be off 3.63% at 60MPH.
There's a 2.9 inch difference in circumference.
Your gas mileage will appear worse but the car will be quicker from stop lights and pull a bit harder due to reduced final drive ratio. Cruising rpms will be higher as well.
