The one thing I've noticed that has been ignored thus far is the path between the TB and the SC. There's been a butt-load of intakes, and even some minor changes up to the TB, but after that, the efforts have skipped to post SC, IC and on...

I don't know if the Bentley manual shows it (I'm sure it must), but look at the runner, its size, rough internal edges and convoluted path into the SC. While I've noticed a difference with a larger TB, after seeing what follows it, there should be much more upside if that path can be improved...

The good news is that a new intake system coming to market is said to address this aspect! obe, I saw your thread (extrude honed) over on Randy's site. I too have the same question. If I chat with him, I will certainly ask, and share...

Up top, i have zero complaints. If you were a VTEC guy before, that might explain the need you have...

Boy, I can't imagine someone saying that lighter aftermkt wheels and tires didn't make much difference. I suppose it depends how much lighter one goes, and how often they plant their foot :D Seriously, if one can lose 40 to 50 pounds of rotating mass, the giddy-up is greatly improved!

My 16" wheels are 10.75 lbs, and with the tires just over 20 pounds ea, I lost just over 10 pounds per corner, and with front aftermkt rotors, an additional 1.5 pounds, or almost 12 lbs per each drive wheel has been shed...

I just got married about a year ago, so I hear ya! Take care.
