I've done a lot of research into this and cannot find a solution. First off the car is a 2008 cooper D with 80,000 miles on it. The problem I'm having with it is that the DPF warming light comes on every time I start the car, it goes away again after a few seconds and never comes on while driving or in any other situation other than start up.
I have had a lot of issue with the car and been to various mechanics and specialists and they all say there is no fault code coming up on their diagnostics and most of these guys have the BMW/MINI diagnostics all up to date.
There has been a new DPF fitted along with the fluid because the fluid bag burst and the old dpf got blocked. Also at the same time I had the injectors reconditioned and replaced the turbo boost solenoid. Stripped and cleaned the egr valve too.
The car drives perfect, good power, no smoke, no noises, no carbon build up and good mpg but nobody can seem to give me an answer as to what's causing the DPF light now, I've removed the new DPF just to check if it's blocked or overly dirty and it's still like new. I've double checked everything 2 if not 3 times and can't seem to find a solution, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, did you manage to get this problem sorted.. Only asking because I have had a similar problem with the DPF?

Most lights come one when you turn the key and/or start the engine, and go out within a few seconds
if there is no problem. Are you sure that this light doesn't come on at startup normally?
If the light stays on, then I would think there is a definite problem.
