Help .... a warning message came on my car saying drivetrain have taken my Mini Cooper 2018 approx 8000 mile on clock to dealership in Stafford they are saying it maybe clutch and looks like I have to pay surely this is not right the car is only one year old anyone else have this issue

there was a lady on here a few months a go that her fairly new mini countryman had done two clutches within 20k,, its a hard one as any tech can see of clutches has been cooked by slipping so i would not drive yours to much before they have the car to fix it as their default position will be driver abuse and that to many revs taking off maybe or riding the clutch pedal when driving,,, so its important not to keep driving it and getting it to heat up and slip etc,
clutches these days are made very light and thin and can only be treated as a switch as such ie on or off ie low revs to take off then only used again to flick next gear in with no over revs at point of changes,,
