Dump valve delete for flutter?

Probably a silly question.....

On Nissan Silvas with an sr20det engine you can remove the dumpvalve and then you hear a lot of turbo fluttering.

Is the same possible on a R56 JCW?

I currently have a HKS intake fitted and while I enjoy the intake suction noise, the dumpvalve noise is something I'd like to mute or change

Short answer NO.

If you want to hear something similar HKS does a kit for MINI but expensive.

Other alternatives are the Forge and Turbosmart 50/50 type diverter.
pull the cat out move the 02 sensors closer and map it for pops and bangs also push the power up at same time,, but only do such tricks on a good engine with good timing chain otherwise its wasted, the turbo on prince engine has divertor type turbo ecu controlled etc, kkk type turbo
Thanks for the replies.

I guess changing the spring inside the diverter valve so that its extremely stiff will result in some flutter or could remove it completely and using a blanking plate.

Anyone recommend where to get the hardest springs from?...I've seen the Alta but not so sure how different it is?
I think Turbosmart does spring but not sure it it's for the OEM, most likely to be for their own product.

Another alternative is the GFB Australian product.

N14 or N18 JCW?

It's a 58 plate jcw
If you just want to swap the internal parts, have a look on North American Motoring as VAG diverter internals can be changed over as it's stronger.
