The Safety and Security section of the Features and Specifications for the Cooper and Cooper "S" refers to an Engine Immobilizer. Does anyone know what this is describing? Perhaps it is just fancy wording like the pictogram display.... Granted, there are a lot of ways to immobilize an engine.

Thanks,

Tom

the immobiliser is a transponder type operated automatically by a Micso chip in the Key.
Do not put your keys on top of the service wallet becauce the magnetic catch will upset it and you car may not start.

Thanks Z, that makes sense. If it should ever malfunction, it could ruin your day. I imagine things are rather dark and brisk in Aberdeen this time of year. Hopefully your MINI heater is working.
