Well I've now finished the car and it's now going for its MOT. The engine runs well and sounds real smooth.
I can't wait to put her on the road but with all this covid19 I've just been laid off so need to watch my money.
As soon as I have it on the road I will post a video of it running.
Thank you to everyone that gave advice. Also a big thank you to mike1967 for your help and advice.
Anyone wanting to do a rebuild, go for it. In all it cost me around £600.

So I've now got 300 miles on the newly built engine and all is good. I've changed the oil and looked in to the filter and there is nothing I'm worried about.
The oil was very clear when coming out and no metalic shine on the top of the oil.
It pulls very well in every gear and the single mass flywheel and clutch set up is very good.

i have had the week from hell with mine missed a very slightly bent conrod and it repeated the blown piston after 2k ,,only got it apart today some pics below, normally when rods bend they tend to go a different colour around the bent bit ,, think when first blown up the turbo failure must of loaded the cylinder full of oil and hydro,,

Wow that has let go.
When I took out my con rods, number one had gone black and totally different to the rest.
I got another rod and measured them all to make sure there was no difference.
I hope you get it back together.

sure did was pulling up hill at time 4k plus whole road behind disappeared with smoke screen felt 007 for a moment lol,, now its more like £350 the only numbers for me lol .. just waiting for parts now will try and get done before end of week should only take me 8-10 hours to put back together if that done it so man times ,
