Excess bits off an 05 works upgrade-(yawn)

I am sure this has been covered before but I can't find it on the FAQ or a search so :

I have a cylinder head, a supercharger (Eaton?) and an exhaust in my garage which came of my now works MCSC
What do I do with them?

1) Sell them on ebay. (They don't seem to be selling for much)
2) Take them to the tip
3) Buy a three year old ONE and install them
4) Keep them -what for?
5) I suppose I can keep the exhaust outside presumably but the oily bits need storing inside
6) Whilst some might appreciate the beauty that is a mini cylinder head I suppose my mantle piece ornament idea won't go down too well "wit' wife"

get what you can ?

Isn't it better to realise what cash they might fetch rather than skip them ?

After all, someone else might be very pleased for your 'rubbish'

I have to admit though that prices on eBay at the moment are not high, and some things eg 15" 7 hole alloys are not selling at all, whereas 3 months ago they would fetch at leat £100 - £125.
Would some of the tuning companies not take the cylinder head off your hands, they usually take them as exchange when selling the ones they have worked their magic on, but they may be glad of extra heads to modify.

Just a thought

Think yourself lucky. Out here in Aus they definately won't give you the bits :(

You could give/sell the supercharger and cylinder head to me??
Superchargers aren't worth the hastle listing on ebay currently. I was lucky to get £260 for mine, but that was a year ago. they seem to struggle to make £70 now. Exhausts are even less likely to sell (they are one piece units, unlike all the other replacement units, which bolt together).

I would suggest long term storage for the SC, they may come back in value as older cars start failing outside of warranty cover. The other bits, junk them... :( Sad I know. Its hard to throw perfectly good stuff away.
I would definitely sell them or give them to someone close by who can pick them up!
There mustbe someone out there with a Cooper or a One that wants to do an upgrade, if not now, then after warranty expiration...
When I sold mine there weren't many available - I managed to get £800 for the SC and Cylinder Head. I recon I could have got more if I sold them earlier, I sat on them for a while. But like Tony said the market is flooded with them now so they don't seem to be fetching much. I'd sit on them, the SC & Cylinder Head new are an expensive piece of kit, I wouldn't sell them for peanuts.

I've still got my exhaust, I'm waiting for someone to figure out how to fit in onto a Cooper then watch it's market value rise.:p To be honest I wish I'd chucked it.;)
Supercharger and cylinder head now selling on ebay for £104!!

(not mine i would add....)
05 Sc?

Isn't the 05 Supercharger much better than the 04?
Is is worth me buying one for my 04?
What would it get me?

Thanks

Theres no credible performance gain to be had with a straight swap between an old and new SC.... the 5th gen supercharger has teflon coated blades, but thats more for increased wear protection at higher revs/temperatures from my understanding... doesn't increase performance..... you'd be better of just getting a 15% pulley wheel and fitting it to your standard SC....
If you're serious about junking them, PM me know and you shall be rewarded :p

(need the head and 'charger for development/experimental purpose so it's definitely going to good use :))
