External ariel replacement

Have a check on RealOEM, it should list the part number you'll need.

I'm looking at an aftermarket replacement as MINI/BMW replacements are £25 and an aftermarket replacement potentially only £9. But what I need to know is - is the roof ariel used for AM/FM and DAB or just AM/FM? The information on AMazon for all ariels does not specify if they are for DAB as well as std AM/FM. I have a DAB unit

My R58 has a DAB aerial in the bumper then the am fm sticking up on the rear panel...

Use realoem to find your car and find the part number for each of the aerials then you will know if there is a separate DAB

Cheers for this - I suspect it is the same for me then - just a AM/FM roof ariel - so a cheapo copy will do

I have 2 Mini Coopers one with DAB and one with out and i can tell you that both antenna bases are physically a different shape so id assume they are different inside too .I know the most BMWs also use a different antenna base when the car is fitted with sat nav so that might be worth thinking about as well

i replaced the roof antenna on mine with a £4 one from ebay as the one the car came with was a tad wonky to one side & the radio still works fine & dandy. ( well it does loose DAB reception now & then but it did this at the same spots even with the wonky OEM antenna still inplace as i am surrounded by hills & tall buildings at the time etc )
