My car needs new discs & pads, dealer advises no discs available in UK or Germany, unable to advise when these will be available. Can anybody advise what the issue is please?

My car needs new discs & pads, dealer advises no discs available in UK or Germany, unable to advise when these will be available. Can anybody advise what the issue is please?

This is a Warranty Claim, Main Dealer accepts liability, but cannot get Discs, says looked to get in UK and also Manufacturing Plant ........ No stock & no lead time available at this moment. I find that so difficult to accept, hence seeking to establish if others having similar problems. They will not consider fitting alternative manufacturer.
