Hi to all,
I'm a little late on posting. I ordered my 05' MCS in may and was able to pick it up on Aug 11th from Bill Jacobs MINI in Illinois. I speced all the goods I liked: sport, premium, cold, int. chrome, Black/ white roof & stripes. I missed the Anthrecite headliner though(aarrrrrrggggghhh!!!) This is definetly the most amazing car I've yet to own. I've only been able to put about 900mi on it so far including the drive back to Indiana after picking it up. Unfortunetly the car is back in IL at the moment after having been towed there by MINI roadside. I had the serv. eng. / eml lights come on at about 750mi. They say the problems fixed afer replacing a vacum hose on the intake manifold. I can only hope. Its been hell week with the complimentary Chevy Cavalier rental. My ego just can't handle that domestic rat turd for another day. But today's the day! I'm diving to the dealership tonight for an afterhours switcheroony, and finally get to take it back home. I don't think I'll be able to own anything but a MINI even with the troubles. Owning a MINI in northern Indiana has about the same effect as cruising around in a spaceship.

Yeah MINI paid for the rental. I assume because BMW has a corporate account through Enterprise. The Biggest pain of the whole ordeal is trying to get back up there to pick the car up. A friend of mine and I tried to go up on wednesday night to get it, got lost and didd'nt make it in time. The normal MINI policy is against locking the keys in the car so I had to come all the way back empty handed. But he's making an exception because I'm begining to lose my mind. To ease your wifes mind, MINI will always tow the car to the nearest dealer regardless of the distance. But of course I had to call MINI USA to find that out. The service guy wanted me to drive it up, but I didd'nt want to take the chance of hurting the car. Also Dustin at Bill Jacobs is cool, he gave me free rubber mats.
