Flat Towing

I just bought a 2016 Mini Cooper S Convertible, which has been towed behind a motorhome for most of it's life. It has a little over 55,00 miles on it. It is a 6 speed manual. The previous owner never mentioned any issues. A friend of mine said that he knew a guy that had to build a bracket to keep the clutch depressed. Has anyone heard of having to do that, or is it a non issue?
