I have a 2006 R52 convertible. It passed its mot 6-months ago, with No advisories.

I've just noticed that both black rubber bushes at the top of the front suspension are cracked/broken. See pic of each side.

Is this dangerous and how quickly do I need to replace them? I see on ebay that you can purchase these for around £28 each, is that reasonable?

Get them changed ASAP, they look quite bad.
£28 each is ok, make sure it's a decent brand. Febi top mounts are around that price.

Took your advice and bought Febi top mounts (£39 a pair on Ebay).

I also bought Febi bottom ball joints (£20 a pair on Ebay) and new shock absorber struts (£59 a pair on Ebay)

My favourite local garage fitted the lot for £160 labour. So now I have new top mounts, shock absorber struts and lower ball joints and car drives very nicely and bumps are not so harsh. Happy days!
