Hi, I am wiring in my dashcam using a fuse converter (basically the cable terminal plugs in like a fuse and try en the original fuse piggy-backs in the connector, to save cutting into your electrics.)

All working great, except that every fuse I plug into seems to be permanently live, including F32 (cigarette lighter socket). That is strange because the socket itself isn’t live until the engine comes on (I hear the power goes through a relay first maybe?)

Can someone recommend a fuse in the box that is definitely ignition power only? (my car is a 2005 Mini One Convertible UK spec)

Replying to my own post as I didn’t get a response, in case it’s useful to someone else who gets here looking for the answer.

I found F41 to work as required - reversing sensors aren’t enabled until the engine is running and work on a 5amp fuse.
