OK, after 11 years of rib prodding, I've finally given in and agreed to get hitched to her-indoors  . Date and venue is still undecided but it will be this time next year and around the Derby / Notts area.

We thought it would be cool to have a MINI convoy instead of the normal wedding cars to transport the olds and the future "other half" to the ceremony, so the question is, can anyone in the area help?

I think we are looking at about 6 MINIs (including mine), of which one should be a convertible (might talk nicely to my dealer) which will carry the bride. If you can help (provisionally) please drop me a PM, and you'll be welcome at the ceremony and the evening reception (expenses will be covered)..............

P.S. The photos will be cool.....

Not sure I can help with the logistics, but that's just what I did just over 6 weeks ago. It worked really well, all the guests thought the cars were fantastic. It was a really great day.

If you need any leverage to convince the dealer that a loan of a convertible would be a good idea, the Bolton dealer had a number of people phoning to know what was going on - it generated a lot of interest!

I've still got some ribbon left over if you're interested ;)

Your wedding & the cool pics!

Hi there,

I will be doing the photos for the Charity Ball in London in February. I noticed your posting, and would like to put a proposal to you....

I run a photography business, and would be really interested in covering your wedding (because of the unique Mini factor!). If you look at my website (www.naturalexpressions.co.uk) you can see some of my work.

I would be willing to do this wedding for cost amount....that would be travel expenses, plus cost of printing, albums, etc. I would also be keen to try and publish these photographs in the various Mini mags, etc.

Have a look at my website, and if you like my style of photography, then we can talk details. If not, no worries, I will see you at the Charity Ball!

Regards,
Pat

great idea :) I know the derby area well too (lived there for 7 years) and I'm often in and around the city, so if you're in need of another just let me know.

I'm getting married this september and I suggested something similar to my girlfriend - unsurpisingly she didn't go for it - although she said if I can single handedly get them to form an arch then she'd walk under it ;) lol. errr...anybody??!

Not sure what I will be up to in a years time....but this sounds fantastic.....!

It looks like I have been beaten to it on the convertible front, but surely there would be room for one more?? I have to say its a wonderful idea, and it will surely be a wedding that everybody will remember for years to come!!
