So a few days ago my 2011 MCS went into limp mode as multiple misfires happened in cylinders 2 and 4. I towed it to pep boys and they thought it was the spark. They tried to charge me $750+ but I decided to fix it myself. I just replaced the plugs today but didn't replace any coils. Took it for a test drive and had some rough idles and possible misfires but engine codes not signaling that. I limped it back to my house to find these codes (note: I haven't changed the ignition coils yet).

without fault codes have no chance to even begin with sorting it, these engines dont tend to hurt spark plugs or coil packs do tend to be stuff like timing chain or high pressure fuel pump or very likely if car over 50k in carbon build up on rear of inlet valves this holds valves off the seats cause misfires that jump around can even compression test them and get mixed results as might seal one minute and not the next,, another common is cracked valves form heat and chain stretched 60k if chain not done chance are its that or that has damaged the 02 sensors and cat maybe or the heat has hurt internal;s
