Got it, love it, want it forever!

Well, I have now owned the mini cooper for several days and the verdict......................I LOVE IT. I don't know why I didn't get one sooner.

Bit of a horror story picking it up though. Garage left me with 16 miles of petrol left in the tank. Not happy! Only live 4 miles from garage and my usual petrol station so thought ok that will get me home. Yeah right! Just got around the block from the garage and the petrol gauge suddenly started rapidly reducing. I managed to get back to the garage with 1 mile left on the gauge. Furious! Lesson learnt.........never trust the mileage remaining gauge and certainly never trust a second hand car salesman!

Anyway I got a happy ending..........garage has agreed to fill the tank for free next time it's almost empty and the salesman grovelled on the phone for 10 minutes for being such an ass!

Anyone else had any pick-up horror stories?

Glad you are pleased with your Mini. Just remember how you feel about it now when in the future you consider selling it, as selling is something everyone regrets.
I can't believe the garage didn't at least give you half a tank of fuel when you bought it. Thats very stingy!

Hi

I am so glad you love your mini, everyone I speak to who has a mini are totally in love with them  I love mine to pieces and still get giddy when I know I am taking her out for a drive and I have had her for two and a half months.....the smile still hasn't left my face and mine is only a "one"

Did you get your car from a mini cherished dealer, if so I think they are damned cheeky not giving you any petrol.....that was one of my stipulations when I bought the car, that they put a full tank of petrol in......I mean to say second hand mini's are not cheap and you are parting with £8500 + for a used car, so the least they could do is put half if not a full tank of petrol in. If I were you I would try to get some other freebies from them....new mats, keyrings, etc etc bleed it for all it's worth :hmph:
