I don't really know at this point. I know my old hoses were aging. Upon inspection of the actual product when I received it; I discovered something. It glossy type rubber one would find with turbo aftermarket hoses, but it had a orange inner liner of rubber. I first thought when looking at it before purchase. That it was orange rubber that was vulcanized to the black outer rubber. It was not. in fact they are two very different types of rubber. The outside as I previously mentioned; the inside a softer stretchy type of rubber maybe a tad firmer than that of a balloon.
Now I did buy the cheaper radiator hose kit on the market. But I do understand the principle. That the inner liner(orange) will flex as water flows through it ,and act as a damper for the outer layer (black). As to whether it makes a huge difference I guess I will have to find out. but is not a one piece solid rubber piece like it looks online. Perhaps it is just this brand Mishimoto. It was 100 less than the other and at least the outer layer is consistent throughout unlike the construction of the other hoses. Whether that is just bloating or the way they were made.
I kept my old hoses anyway. In the end it's a good deal considering the original equipment is very expensive for the name brand Mini!🤙
