Bought a John Cooper Works air filter kit on ebay for £33 delivered!

Not bad considering the larger air filter is around £40 alone! It's the same as supplied with the official JCW sound kit.
The filters are actually made by BMC, which are very good (I've had them on previous cars).
Should be able to fit it at the weekend & then we'll see what difference it makes.

The open cone filter is made by Pipercross, but these panel filters are definately BMC (they have it printed all over the wrappers!).

Mmmmm......the JCW air box sounds nice!
Only blipped the throttle a few times to see what noise it made, but the drive home will be fun!! :)

Enjoy. The flap to the sound pipe open at about 4-4.5k. Not that I'm encouraging you to use it at eery opportunity:)
Don't think it has a flap.
Thought that was the MCS only.

Anyway, when I'm driving, it ALWAYS see's 4Krpm++!!!

Yeah I know!! :)

Really chuffed with it too.
I've done quite a few miles now with the air box fitted. It's very quiet just driving around town but once you open up the taps & really rev it, it absolutely howls!!!

Yeah I agree - it will have minimal power gains, but will help the engine to breathe a bit better.

Certainly makes a lovely noise! :D
