Hey guys! First time posting here!

I'm borrowing my sister's 2003 Cooper S and it's giving me a few problem! I don't know WHAT she's done to it, but yikes! It feels like it's about to fall apart!

A few weeks ago the back of the car started to rattle when going over bumps, and then it just got louder and louder. Imagine going fast over train tracks with luggage in the trunk. That's the sound.

Then, there was a bit of grinding in reverse. Going forward was no problem, but going in reverse produced an awful sound. I took all the wheels off and checked the break pads. All looked well. And still the grinding continues!

Now, when I throw it in reverse, it goes about 2 feet back before it feels like the parking brake is on, and then lurches to the left. Really crazy. It seems like the rear right suspension pushes 'up' for some reason. I have no idea what's going on. Perhaps you can help solve the mystery!

Thanks!

Hmmmm, it looked pretty good to me when I checked 'em, but perhaps I'm just not that experienced.

In any case, what's the best method to 'unstick' a caliper?
