Thought it had but I have had to pull up sharpish a couple of times since I got it and have heard some screeching tires. Never got this on previous car.
Of course if has. If my MINI one has and have used it twice then your Cooper has. You must not have breaked hard enough for it to kick in. It doesn't stop screeching tyres.
It's standard on all models. If you want to stop wheel spin which would be ever present on gravel you need ASC. Although I find ASC can sometimes take the fun out of going round a corner too quickly! So I turn it off.
